Good Friend SIS ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Good Friend SIS mobile application (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Service and the choices you have associated with that data.

1. Information Collection and Use 

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

A. Personal Data

While using our Service, we may ask you to provide us with certain personally identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you ("Personal Data"). Personally identifiable information may include, but is not limited to:

  • User Account Information (Email address, User Name, Profile details)
  • Device Information & Phone State (Device ID, Operating System, Network State)

B. App Permissions 

To provide key functionalities of the Application, we request access to certain features on your device:

  • Camera (android.permission.CAMERA):  This permission is requested solely to enable optional user-initiated features such as capturing profile photos, media uploads, or scanning documents within the app. We do not automatically capture, store, or transmit camera data without your explicit permission and active interaction.
  • Microphone (android.permission.RECORD_AUDIO, android.permission.MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS): Used for voice recording, audio playback, or real-time audio communication features.
  • Storage / Photos (android.permission.READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): This permission is declared solely to support optional user-initiated features such as attaching images, uploading files, or updating profile pictures within the app. The app does not access, read, or collect any local photos or files on your device without your explicit action and permission.
  • Bluetooth (android.permission.BLUETOOTH): Used to discover, connect, and communicate with nearby Bluetooth devices.Phone State (android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE): Used to detect incoming phone calls to appropriately pause audio/video playback or manage active in-app sessions.
  • Foreground Service (android.permission.FOREGROUND_SERVICE): Used to ensure stable execution of continuous background tasks such as audio recording or data transmission.
  • Network & Wi-Fi State (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, INTERNET): Used to verify network connection status and transmit data securely over the internet.

2. Use of Data

We use the collected data for various purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our Service
  • To notify you about changes to our Service
  • To allow you to participate in interactive features of our Service when you choose to do so
  • To provide customer support
  • To gather analysis or valuable information so that we can improve our Service
  • To monitor the usage of our Service
  • To detect, prevent, and address technical issues


3. Third-Party Service Providers 

We may employ third-party companies and individuals to facilitate our Service ("Service Providers"), to provide the Service on our behalf, to perform Service-related services, or to assist us in analyzing how our Service is used.

These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. Common third-party SDKs used include:

  • Google Play Services / Firebase: Analytics, push notifications, and app performance monitoring.

4. Account and Data Deletion

We respect your right to control your data. You can delete your account and associated personal data at any time through the following methods:

  1. In-App Deletion:  Sign in the app, then Open the Menu (≡) at the top-left > Cancel Membership inside the application.
  2. Web / Email Request: If you are unable to access the application, you can request full data deletion by emailing us at support@goodfriendsis.com (or your actual contact email). Upon receiving your deletion request, your account and all associated personal data will be permanently removed from our databases immediately or within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Security of Data

The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

6. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 13 ("Children"). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us.
